The TRANSFORM-Bangladesh project is dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged individuals living in the Korail slum, particularly those experiencing serious mental health disorders. To support these individuals, we organized two workshops titled “Empowering People with Lived Experience,” held on 14th September 2024 and 16th November 2024. The goal of these workshops was to establish a peer support group for people facing serious mental health issues, focusing on social inclusion, engagement, and the sharing of their unheard voices. Through these workshops, we successfully created a peer support group consisting of 33 members, they will act as the ambassadors for other SMD people and this group includes various stakeholders such as persons with lived experiences, caregivers of people with Serious Mental Disorders (SMDs), and community health workers.
