Professor Singh is the Principal Investigator of the TRANSFORM study and leads the team at the University of Warwick.
He is a Professor of Social and Community Psychiatry and is the Director of the Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing Research at the University of Warwick and a practicing clinical psychiatrist. He was trained both in India and UK, and has wide-ranging expertise in global mental health. He has led several large-scale international projects in both high- and low- and middle-income countries within time and budget.
Professor Olayinka Olusola Omigbodun is the Principal Investigator for Nigeria and leads the team at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan. Professor Omigbodun is the first Nigerian female professor of psychiatry and the first female provost of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan.
Professor Omigbodun is supported by co-investigators: Dr Jibril Abdulmalik, Professor Akinyinka Omigbodun, Dr Obafemi Jegede and Dr Olayinka Egbokhare.
Dr Srividya Iyer is one of the TRANSFORM co-Investigators and brings an expertise of serious mental disorders in LMICs.
Dr Srividya Iyer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She is a licensed psychologist and a Researcher at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute and the Prevention and Early Intervention Program for Psychosis (PEPP) in Montreal.
In India, we will work with Ms Neeru Khera from The Creative Gypsy to produce posters and films to reduce stigma of severe mental health disorders and publicise pathways to treatment.
Delhi based Neeru has created a unique production house and Youtube channel called "The Creative Gypsy" who believe in creativity and uniqueness and produce documentaries, short films, features and more.
Professor Richard Lilford from the Institute of Applied Health Research, University of Birmingham is one of our UK based co-investigators.
Professor Lilford is the Director of National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Applied Research Centre West Midlands (ARC WM) and is the lead slum health expert on TRANSFORM.
