Welcome to the Bangladesh site of The TRANSFORM project. Funded by the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), a UK government agency dedicated to advancing global health and social care, our project endeavors to elevate the quality of care and treatment for individuals grappling with Serious Mental Disorders (SMD).
Our mission is to facilitate access to high-quality care and treatment for those with SMD in Bangladesh. The TRANSFORM Project, under award number NIHR200846, receives support from UK aid from the UK Government to bolster our global health research initiatives.
Rapid community-based ethnographic assessments in study sites in Bangladesh and Nigeria.
Development of culturally acceptable manual for TFH, CHWs and Medicine sellers.
Pilot training programs to test feasibility and acceptability of interventions.
Evaluation of intervention impact on access to biomedical care for SMD patients.
Health economic analysis and methodological development for intervention evaluation.
